Workshop 01
Computer-Aided Design & 3D Printing 101

Have you ever wondered how to design something for the 3D printer? In this workshop you'll learn the fundamentals of CAD and 3D modelling from faculty at UCL's Bartlett School of Architecture, with a focus on bringing your designs to life through 3D printing.

Location: Seligman Theatre
- Core Rhino workflows: navigation, drawing, object manipulation and precision modelling
- Building 3D geometry: curves, surfaces and solids
- Preparing and exporting models for 3D printing
- Visualisation basics: materials, lighting and rendering

Develop your own video game

Ever wanted to create your own video game? Now you can. Join this workshop to develop your own retro video game — or design changes to an existing one — with help from Claude.

Workshop 03
AI Security: Jailbreak game + Q&A

Team up and go head-to-head against guardrails, filters and safety systems in a live, competitive jailbreaking challenge. Work through escalating levels of prompt injection — from extracting hidden secrets to hijacking AI agents entirely — all through a purpose-built challenge website. The faster your team cracks each level, the higher you'll climb the leaderboard. Followed by a live Q&A with AI security expert Dan Lahav.

Workshop 04
Origami

Origami is older than you think, more mathematical than you'd expect, and more fun than it has any right to be. Join us for an hour of hands-on paper folding, working through a series of challenges that range from quietly meditative to delightfully chaotic. We'll explore some surprising ideas hidden inside every fold, attempt things that probably shouldn't work, and make a lot of things with our hands along the way.

UI/UX Design

Every pixel counts — and so does every user. Dive into the principles that separate great design from the rest: clarity, consistency, accessibility, usability and more. This workshop breaks down the fundamentals that make interfaces intuitive for everyone, regardless of ability, device or experience level. Learn the principles, apply them hands-on, and discover how thoughtful design solves real problems.

FAQs

We have reserved space for you to work during the day if you need to in the Thomas Cotton Room on the lower ground floor. Spare Dell laptop power supplies will be available if you don't have your own with you.
We've split the attendees into two main groups. Your group will be written on your ID card, which should also match the colour of the lanyard you were given with your ID card. Your group indicates which order you do the activities, as seen in the Agenda. Each group is then broken up into smaller teams. Your team number can be found by scanning the QR code on your badge when the activities are in progress.
There will be a cloakroom for you to store your personal belongings for the day on the lower level.
Yes, there is a guest WiFi network available.
There are bathrooms on level one, downstairs from the main entrance, near the cloakroom.
